The consolidation project promoted by Xenon Private Equity VIII has taken a decisive step with the acquisition of Betoncablo, STV and Arcsystem, each active for decades in electric infrastructure and specialised technical services. These businesses will join the GridCore industrial platform, established in March 2025 with the objective of creating one of Italy's leading operators in the construction, maintenance and upgrading of the country's strategic networks, primarily the electricity grid. The infrastructure hub promoted by Xenon already comprises Elettrolinee and Azeta, the first two companies acquired by GridCore in the first quarter of the year. The combined group now exceeds EUR 100 million in aggregate revenues and brings together over 400 professionals. The enlarged group positions itself to play a leading role in the critical infrastructure market, a sector central to national growth and to investments tied to the energy transition. The acquisitions were financed by a syndicate including, among others, Clessidra Capital Credit SGR; illimity Bank and illimity SGR through the illimity Selective Credit Fund; Tages Capital SGR (the operation benefits from support under the European Union's InvestEU programme); Anima Alternative SGR; Oquendo Capital SGEIC; Green Arrow Capital SGR; and Sienna IM Italia SGR (formerly Ver Capital). Illimity Bank acted as facility agent for the transaction.
