Eversheds Sutherland advises ILOS Energy on 217MWp Cork solar portfolio financing

Eversheds Sutherland advised German energy company ILOS Energy on all commercial, energy and real estate matters relating to the construction and project financing of a 217MWp solar portfolio in County Cork, assisting ILOS Energy in a transaction with Danske Bank as project finance lender and development partner Soleire Renewables. The transaction concerns a 217MWp solar portfolio in County Cork. The new, approximately 500-acre solar farm commenced development in April and is being progressed with development partner Soleire Renewables. Once complete, the installation is expected to produce sufficient energy to supply around 39,000 homes and will be constructed over the coming year. Danske Bank acted as project finance lender for the facility. This completion is the second such financing for ILOS Energy in Ireland this year, following the project financing of a 220MWp portfolio in County Tipperary earlier in the year, on which Eversheds Sutherland also advised. Together these projects mark ILOS Energy’s expansion into Ireland and reinforce its position in the European renewable energy sector.
