Dechert advised Brightwood Capital Advisors, LLC on the assumption of management of two private credit funds previously overseen by Capital Dynamics. Under the terms of the transaction, Brightwood will assume management of the funds’ portfolios, representing approximately US$300 million in commitments. The existing fund structures will remain in place, allowing current limited partners to maintain their investments without providing additional capital. The transaction underscores Brightwood’s continued commitment to direct lending in the U.S. middle market and reflects its solution-driven approach to fund management.
