Cleary Gottlieb represented GlobalFoundries U.S. Inc. in its acquisition of InfiniLink Inc. The transaction involves GlobalFoundries, one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers, acquiring InfiniLink, a Cairo, Egypt–based startup that specialises in advanced optical data connectivity chips. InfiniLink brings deep expertise in high‑speed connectivity, including SerDes, optical transceiver chipsets and monolithic silicon photonics. InfiniLink’s engineering talent and intellectual property will enhance GlobalFoundries’ in‑house design capabilities and help a broad range of customers strengthen their optics roadmaps and design into GlobalFoundries.
