Clifford Chance and Morais Leitão advise Asterion on €120m acquisition of Covilhã data centre

Clifford Chance advised Asterion Industrial Partners on its acquisition of the Covilhã data centre from Altice Portugal, with Portuguese-law support provided by Morais Leitão. The transaction comprises the purchase of the Covilhã Campus from Altice Portugal for €120 million. As part of the deal Altice Portugal will continue as an anchor tenant of the facility under a long-term Master Service Agreement. The Covilhã Campus currently has 6.8 MW of installed capacity and benefits from architectural potential, available land and a secured electricity supply that together allow for an expansion of up to 175 MW. The acquisition represents Asterion’s second significant data centre transaction following last year’s sale of Nabiax, in which Clifford Chance also acted for the fund.
