NKO Partners Advises Dr Max on Acquisition of Markovic Pharmacy Chain in Krusevac

NKO Partners advised Dr Max on its acquisition of the Markovic pharmacy institution based in Krusevac, Serbia. The transaction involved Dr Max acquiring Markovic, which operates six retail units across the wider Krusevac region. The acquisition further consolidates Dr Max’s footprint in central Serbia and continues the company’s strategy of expanding its retail network through targeted acquisitions. NKO Partners has been active in advising Dr Max on a series of Serbian retail pharmacy acquisitions in recent years. Earlier in 2025 the firm advised on Dr Max’s acquisitions of the Zalfija pharmacy chain (July 4, 2025) and VIVA Pharm (January 15, 2025). In 2024 the firm advised on the acquisitions of the Ivancic i Sin pharmacy chain (December 10, 2024), the Miletic Plus pharmacy chain (May 21, 2024) and Pet-Sar Farm (February 15, 2024). In 2023 the firm advised on the acquisitions of Melem Pharmacy (December 1, 2023), the Dr Ristic pharmacy chain (November 9, 2023), the Uniprom pharmacy chain in Zajecar (October 4, 2023), Nova Pharm (March 28, 2023), Beolek (March 9, 2023), Cvejic (January 31, 2023) and AU Medis Lek (January 6, 2023). The firm also advised Dr Max on several 2022 acquisitions, including AU Kod Suncanog Sata and AU Selic (October 11, 2022), K-Pharma (June 8, 2022), the Janja pharmacy chain (March 28, 2022) and the Zlatni Lav pharmacies (January 5, 2022).
