Freeths advised RedCat Hospitality on the sale of its leased and tenanted division to Admiral Taverns, the purchaser. The transaction comprises the sale of RedCat’s leased and tenanted division, consisting of 21 pubs, to Admiral Taverns. Founded in 2021 by Rooney Anand, RedCat rapidly grew to operate around 100 sites under both a leased and tenanted model and a managed pubs and rooms model, which includes 36 venues of the Coaching Inn Group, recently named Which? Best Large UK Hotel Chain of the Year 2025. The disposal will allow RedCat to streamline its portfolio and concentrate on its managed pubs and rooms strategy, where the business has historically seen its greatest growth potential. RedCat will move to accelerate investment in its core estate, enhance customer experience and capitalise on strong demand in its managed estate. Admiral Taverns is a UK-based community pub group with a nationwide estate of approximately 1,350 wet-led pubs and works closely with licensees to support independent businesses in their local communities.
