Clifford Chance Advises Nofar Energy on EUR 192 Million EBRD-Arranged Financing

Clifford Chance BADEA represented Nofar Energy and its project companies Slobozia Solar Plant s.r.l., Aviv Renewable Investment s.r.l. and Corbii Mari Solar Plant s.r.l. in securing a EUR 192 million financing arranged by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The financing will support the development of three photovoltaic parks in Romania with a combined installed capacity of 531 MW. The package includes a Contracts for Difference (CfD) component and provisions for the development of battery storage facilities. This transaction builds on a prior financing arranged last year for two photovoltaic parks and reinforces the ongoing collaboration between Clifford Chance and Nofar Energy as the company pursues an investment plan to reach more than 733 MW of installed capacity in Romania. Clifford Chance advised on financing and corporate M&A aspects, as well as on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Operation and Management (O&M) contracts and regulatory matters.
