Mason Hayes & Curran and Harcourt Capital Advise Evergreen on Ireland’s Largest Biomethane Facility

Mason Hayes & Curran and Harcourt Capital advised Evergreen Agricultural Enterprises in connection with the financing and development of what will be Ireland’s largest biomethane production facility, with Mason Hayes & Curran advising on energy, project development and financing aspects and Harcourt Capital acting as strategic corporate financial adviser to Evergreen. The project has secured financing from Eiffel Investment Group and is scheduled for completion of construction in mid‑2026. Once operational, the facility is expected to produce approximately 120 GWh of renewable biomethane annually, which will be injected directly into the national gas network operated by Gas Networks Ireland. The plant will process some 165,000 tonnes of agricultural feedstock each year for conversion into renewable gas and fertiliser. The transaction represents a landmark project financing for a biomethane production facility in the Irish market and is positioned to support Ireland’s decarbonisation strategy and energy security.
