Clifford Chance advised Energix Polska in negotiating and signing an agreement with Axpo to optimise Poland’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS). The installation, located in Nowy Czarnów in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, has a capacity of 24 MW and storage of 56 MWh. Under the agreement, Axpo will optimise the BESS’s commercial operations, including matters related to the revenue strategy and participation in the ancillary services market. The collaboration is presented as an advance for energy storage infrastructure in Poland.
