Burges Salmon appointed to Nuclear Decommissioning Authority legal panel

The firm has also been appointed to Lot 2 and Lot 5 of the CCS Legal Panel for Government and retained by Nuclear Waste Services on consenting and operation of key capital programmes."

Burges Salmon has been appointed to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) legal panel and has also been retained by Nuclear Waste Services (NWS). The appointment to the NDA legal panel is valued at £5m and runs until 2027. The panel was procured through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) legal services framework (RM6179) and will see Burges Salmon’s Nuclear Law team provide legal support to the NDA in delivering its programme to clean up the UK’s legacy nuclear sites. Separately, Burges Salmon has been named as a supplier on Lot 2 and Lot 5 of the Crown Commercial Service’s Legal Panel for Government, advising on Major Projects and Rail Legal Services. Burges Salmon has also been appointed by Nuclear Waste Services to provide legal services in relation to consenting and the operation of its key capital programmes, including work on the Geological Disposal Facility programme and the development and ongoing operation of the Low Level Waste Repository near Drigg in Cumbria.
