Horten Advises City of Copenhagen and Realdania on Sale of Royal Arena to Live Nation

Horten advised the City of Copenhagen and Realdania in connection with the sale of shares in Arena CPHX P/S to Live Nation. The transaction concerns the transfer of the shareholders' interest in the company that owns Royal Arena. Royal Arena opened in 2017 and was established through municipal and philanthropic funding; the City of Copenhagen and Realdania each held half of the shares in Arena CPHX P/S. The parties always intended to sell the arena, and following a public tender a purchase agreement has now been entered into with Live Nation. As tenant, Live Nation's subsidiary Danish Venue Enterprise will be responsible for the operation and rental of Royal Arena for concerts, sports and events. Horten represented the City of Copenhagen and Realdania with a team composed by: partner Michael Neumann and partner Rune Halkjær Ebbesen.
