Yards advises MIG Capital on NcodiN's €16 million seed funding

"Yards advised German investor MIG Capital on the €16 million seed round of NcodiN, a 2023 deeptech developing an optical interposer with integrated nanolasers for AI processors. The round was led by MIG Capital alongside Maverick Silicon, PhotonVentures and Verve Ventures; existing investors Elaia, Earlybird and OVNI also participated. Towery provided IP/IT support to Yards."

Law firm Yards advised investor MIG Capital on the transaction, and law firm Towery provided IP/IT support to Yards. Founded in 2023, NcodiN is a deeptech company developing an optical interposer that integrates nanolasers to enhance the technical and environmental performance of artificial intelligence processors. NcodiN completed a €16 million seed financing. The round was subscribed by German investor MIG Capital alongside U.S. fund Maverick Silicon, Dutch fund PhotonVentures and Swiss fund Verve Ventures. Existing investors Elaia, Earlybird and OVNI, which were already on NcodiN's cap table, also participated in the new financing. MIG Capital is one of Germany's leading venture capital funds, with approximately €770 million invested to date across more than 60 start-ups. Yards had previously advised MIG Capital on earlier investments in France. Yards represented client MIG Capital with a team composed by: Eric du Peloux (partner, transactional and venture), Patricia Khoury (associate, transactional and venture); Jérémie Yéni (partner, tax) and Edmond Volquemanne (associate, tax); Christine Hillig-Poudevigne (partner, employment/social) and Agathe De Vreese (associate, employment/social).
