Taylor Wessing Advises thyssenkrupp on Sale of Automation Engineering to Agile Robots

"Taylor Wessing advised thyssenkrupp on the sale of its Automation Engineering business unit to Agile Robots SE, while ARQIS advised the buyer. The transaction, part of thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology’s reorganisation, is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in the coming months. Agile Robots will operate the unit as Krause Automation."

Taylor Wessing advised thyssenkrupp on the sale of its Automation Engineering business unit to Agile Robots SE, while ARQIS advised the buyer; the transaction was handled on the thyssenkrupp side by in‑house counsel Christoph Grotha. The transaction involves the sale of Automation Engineering, an internationally recognised specialist in special-purpose machinery engineering for product-specific automation solutions, from thyssenkrupp to Agile Robots SE. The disposal is part of the reorganisation of thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology decided in July. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the coming months. Agile Robots, a fast-growing Munich-based technology company combining robotics and artificial intelligence to create industrial solutions, will operate the acquired business as Krause Automation. The new division will act as a system provider offering end-to-end solutions ranging from intelligent components to turnkey systems.
