GÖRG Advises De Baron B.V. on Sale of MEG Medical Equipment to Gilde Healthcare

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised Dutch shareholder De Baron B.V. on the sale of MEG Medical Equipment GmbH to Dutch private equity investor Gilde Healthcare. The transaction concerns the sale of MEG Medical Equipment GmbH (MEG), an international supplier of medical aids and one of Europe’s leading providers of specialised products for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. One of the sellers was Harald Quandt Industriebeteiligungen GmbH (HQIB), the largest shareholder. HQIB and the other shareholders, including De Baron B.V., organised the sale process. De Baron most recently held a stake of around 15 per cent in MEG and had sold its operating business to the group several years earlier. MEG’s group includes the German manufacturer Funke Medical and the Dutch company Deron B.V., the latter having been brought into the group by De Baron. With the acquisition by Gilde Healthcare, MEG is pursuing further international growth and expanding its product range to include innovative medical products and digital solutions for the care sector. The notarisation and closing of the transaction took place on 13 November 2025 in Frankfurt am Main.
