"International law firm BCLP advised Lone Star Funds on the purchase of a 16-asset multi-use real estate portfolio from St. James's Place, including assets held by its Property Unit Trust and Life and Pensions Trust. The portfolio spans industrial, office and retail properties across the UK."

International law firm BCLP advised Lone Star Funds on the acquisition of a multi-asset real estate portfolio from St. James's Place, including assets held by its Property Unit Trust and Life and Pensions Trust. The transaction comprised a portfolio of 16 high-quality assets across the UK, including multi-let industrial, retail warehouse and office properties. The multi-let industrial assets are largely located in the South East, the office properties are all in London, and the retail assets consist of retail warehouses with strong tenant bases. BCLP noted there is considerable upside across the portfolio, and the deal represents a milestone transaction marking St. James's Place's exit from a substantial part of its UK real estate holdings. BCLP represented Lone Star Funds with a team composed by: Tom (Thomas) Pearman (Partner, Real Estate) and Sam Narula (Real Estate) leading the deal; Richard Brearley and Ben Sutton, together with trainees Lilia Raykova and Eva Chance (Real Estate); Karen English, Katie Philpot, Charlotte Tullis, Sally Anyon, Christine Lewis-Ethelston, Patricia Johnston, Marisol Aspinell, Faye Russell, Samantha Hodgkinson, Faizan Hashmi and Wendy Beer (Real Estate DD); Payam Yoseflavi and Dan Haines, with trainees Kate Hamilton and Azan Ashai (Real Estate Finance); Chris Skone James, Kevin Henderson, Will Meredith and trainee Milly Junod (Construction); Elizabeth Bradley, Jon Cooper, Liam Johnson and Paul Williams (Tax); Giles Pink, Ollie Greaves, Megan Cunnliffe, Tom Horniman, Hannah Whiting, Tom Gray and Nick Harding (Planning & Environmental); Kieran Saunders and Jacquelynne Baey (Corporate Real Estate Funds); Katherine Pope, Michelle Morgan and Ellie Serridge (Employment); and Alex Selka and Edward Gardner (Real Estate Disputes).
