Menold Bezler represented the American Football Club Stuttgart GmbH, the operating company of Stuttgart Surge, the reigning champion of the European League of Football (ELF). The American Football Club Stuttgart GmbH filed for insolvency on 21 November 2025. On 24 November the Stuttgart District Court appointed Dr. Sebastian Mielke, Partner at Menold Bezler, as the preliminary insolvency administrator for the company’s assets. Dr. Mielke has been coordinating closely with the company’s management and informed employees about the current situation on 25 November. Options for continuing the team’s operations are being examined. In addition to uncertainty within the league, the financial requirements for the upcoming season present a particular challenge for any continuation plan.
