K Law Advises Asia-Focused Performing Credit Fund on INR 200 Crore Debt Investment in Maharashtra Power and Data Centre Developer

K Law acted as transaction counsel, handling structuring, documentation, due diligence, and closing."

Krishnamurthy & Co. (K Law) advised a leading Asia-focused performing credit fund in connection with its debt investment in a market-leading Maharashtra-based company engaged in the development of power and electrical infrastructure and data centres. The private credit investor subscribed to certain senior, secured, unlisted, unrated, redeemable non-convertible debentures aggregating up to INR 200 Crore, together with a green shoe option, issued by the Maharashtra-based issuer. K Law acted as transaction counsel for the private credit investor. The firm was involved in structuring the transaction and in drafting, negotiating and finalising all debenture and security documents relating to the non-convertible debentures. K Law also conducted legal due diligence on the issuer and all security providers, assisted with execution and closing of the transaction, and advised the investor on various legal and regulatory issues pertaining to the subscription. The private credit investor, with offices in India and Singapore, is a market leader in Asia's performing credit market and provides private credit solutions to high-growth corporates across sectors. The western Maharashtra-based issuer undertakes turnkey electrical projects, including high-tension and low-tension installations and erection of substations, and constructs major power infrastructure across sectors such as IT parks, airports, malls, hospitals, hotels, commercial complexes and railway electrical infrastructure.
