Schulthess Expands into France with Acquisition Supported by RWK Goodman

Schulthess Maschinen AG, a leading Swiss manufacturer of washing machines and dryers, has acquired Armstrong France in a cross-border transaction that extends Schulthess’s portfolio into the French market and furthers its expansion across mainland Europe. The acquisition will enable Schulthess to deploy its digital solutions and systems to a broader European customer base as part of its strategic growth plans. Integration will be carried out gradually to preserve continuity and strengthen existing customer relationships. Armstrong France, established in 2001, operates around 400 company-owned laundries across France and supplies comprehensive communal laundry solutions to operators of residential complexes, holiday resorts and care facilities. Schulthess CEO Thomas Marder said the deal provides direct access to a dynamic market with great potential and that the company’s durable, energy-efficient products and digital services will bring long-term added value to the French laundry market. Schulthess CFO Martin Keller emphasised the complexity of cross-border acquisitions and thanked the advisers who supported the transaction.
