CMS Advises Superstruct Entertainment on Sale of Sziget Festival Back to Founder Karoly Gerendai

CMS advised Superstruct Entertainment on the sale of Sziget Festival to FestPro IoF2025, a company owned by Sziget founder Karoly Gerendai. The transaction concerns the transfer of Sziget Festival from Superstruct Entertainment back to FestPro IoF2025. Founded in 1993, Sziget Festival is one of Europe’s largest music and cultural festivals, hosting more than 1,000 performances each year. Superstruct Entertainment, a UK-based live entertainment group backed by private equity firms KKR and CVC, acquired a 70% stake in Sziget in 2017 and has since expanded significantly, acquiring more than 85 festivals across Europe and Australia.
