The transaction comprises a USD 400 million syndicated facility arranged for Sea World Energy Holdings Limited, the entity consolidating Karpowership Group’s operations in Africa. The Mauritius Commercial Bank acted as sole mandated lead arranger and account bank, with the facility supported by a syndicate of leading financial institutions. The financing has been structured as an innovative facility tailored to floating power vessel operations. The arrangement is intended to reinforce Karpowership’s liquidity, capacity and operational flexibility, enabling the delivery of fast-deployable generation solutions and underpinning further deployment and optimisation of powership assets across the African continent. Karpowership is described as the world’s largest owner, operator and builder of floating power plants, with over 8,000 megawatts of installed capacity across four continents.
