CMS Advises Waracle on First Overseas Acquisition of HackSoft

CMS represented Waracle in the acquisition of Bulgarian IT group HackSoft. Waracle has agreed to acquire HackSoft, a Sofia-based software development consultancy. The transaction marks a significant milestone in Waracle’s 17-year history as its first acquisition outside the UK, extending the company’s geographic footprint as part of its growth strategy. HackSoft, founded in 2017, employs a 55-strong team and has established a reputation for engineering excellence, a strong organisational culture and a holistic approach to quality software development. CMS represented Waracle with a team composed by: Helen Gillies (CMS Edinburgh, lead), Borislava Piperkova (CMS Sofia, lead), Kostadin Sirleshtov, Yavor Danailov, Fraser Blair (Corporate), Viktoriya Dimitrova, Stoyana Petrova, Rosen Kostadinov, Pavel Chaveev (EPC) and Andrea Andreev (IP).
