Veil Jourde Advises Odigo on Acquisition of Akio

"Veil Jourde and Weil Gotshal & Manges advised Odigo and its majority shareholder Seven2 on Odigo’s acquisition of CCaaS specialist Akio; Arsène assisted on tax structuring and Jean-Christophe Blanchin advised Akio. The deal strengthens Odigo’s CCaaS/CXaaS offering and supports consolidation of the European customer experience market."

Veil Jourde and Weil Gotshal & Manges advised Odigo and its majority shareholder Seven2 in the transaction; Arsène assisted Odigo and Seven2 on tax structuring matters, and Jean-Christophe Blanchin advised Akio. Odigo, a European leader in Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) and a pioneer of Customer Experience as a Service (CXaaS), has acquired Akio, a software publisher specialising in CCaaS. Akio is recognised for its expertise in artificial intelligence applied to customer voice analytics, reputation management and the optimisation of agent performance. Active in the mid-market, Akio’s acquisition complements and strengthens Odigo’s offering and market position. With some 650 employees, nearly 40 years of activity, more than 250 major corporate clients across roughly 100 countries and annual revenues of approximately €160 million, Odigo says the operation marks a decisive step in the consolidation of the European CX market. The transaction is intended to advance Odigo’s ambition to build a credible European alternative to the large American players, in a context where European companies increasingly prioritise data sovereignty and control over their technology environments. Veil Jourde represented Odigo and Seven2 with a team composed by: Gabriel d’Amécourt (partner, corporate and contractual), Clara Muhar (associate, corporate and contractual), Romy Kaadi (associate, corporate and contractual); Benoît Gréteau (partner, tax), Charlotte Martinez (associate, tax); Nicolas Brault (partner, intellectual property), Flore Canal (associate, intellectual property); Pauline Larroque-Daran (partner, employment law), Chloé Noyon (associate, employment law).
