Clifford Chance Advises Lao PDR on US$300 Million International Bond Issuance

"Clifford Chance advised the Lao People's Democratic Republic, represented by its Ministry of Finance, on the successful issuance of US$300 million 11.25% notes due 2030. The notes were offered to institutional investors under Rule 144A and Regulation S and listed on the Singapore Exchange to support the government’s debt management and budgetary needs."

Clifford Chance advised the Lao People's Democratic Republic, represented by its Ministry of Finance, on its US$300 million international bond issuance. The Lao PDR successfully issued US$300 million 11.25% notes due 2030. The notes were offered to institutional investors under Rule 144A and Regulation S and are listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX-ST). Proceeds from the issue will support the government’s debt management and general budgetary needs and mark a further engagement by Lao PDR with international capital markets.
