Dentons Advises Genesis Capital on Acquisition of Majority Stake in Slevomat Group

Dentons represented private equity group Genesis Capital in connection with the acquisition of a majority stake in the Slevomat group. On November 24, 2025, in Prague, Genesis Capital acquired a controlling interest in the Slevomat group through its Genesis Private Equity Fund V. The remaining shares will be held by the incumbent management of Slevomat and by the family office of Jitka Cechlová Komárková. Closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authority. Slevomat, which had been owned by the UK group Secret Escapes since 2017, returns to Czech ownership as a result of this transaction. Management has described the move as a strategic step to support further growth, strengthen market position in the Czech and Slovak travel and experience portal segments, and to develop the group’s technological capabilities and customer experience. Tomáš Sýkora, Investment Director at Genesis Capital, noted that the deal is the first acquisition signed by Genesis Private Equity Fund V, which has an indicated size of €270 million, and thanked Dentons for its contribution to an efficient process. David Šimek, M&A Partner at Dentons, described the engagement as one of Genesis Capital’s largest investments and as an example of private equity interest in well-managed Czech companies with growth potential and a focus on technology.
