ADVANT Beiten Advises Zoot Sports on Acquisition of Tailwind Brands GmbH

ADVANT Beiten advised Zoot Sports on its acquisition of Tailwind Brands GmbH, acting for Zoot Sports (buyer) in the transaction. The transaction will give Zoot Sports direct access to the European market and to Tailwind's existing distribution structures and long-standing trading relationships. It strengthens Zoot's market position in the triathlon and endurance sports sector and forms an important step in the buyer's European growth strategy. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume. Zoot Sports, founded in 1983 in Kona, Hawaii, is a specialist manufacturer of apparel, footwear and equipment for triathletes and endurance athletes, and is one of the world's leading brands in this segment, selling in more than 25 countries. Since 2023 Zoot has been part of the Italian MVC Group. Tailwind Brands GmbH, based in Bönen, specialises in distribution and brand management of premium sports and lifestyle brands, with an established distribution network in the DACH region and long-standing partnerships with leading sports retailers and online platforms. ADVANT Beiten supported Zoot throughout the entire acquisition process, including legal and tax due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation of the transaction agreements and the successful closing.
