TCS secures ₹9,000 crore investment from TPG for HyperVault with AZB, Cyril Amarchand and Latham advising

AZB & Partners advised Tata Consultancy Services and its subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised investor TPG, and Latham & Watkins acted as international legal counsel to TPG. The transaction involved TCS securing approximately ₹9,000 crore of investment from TPG into its subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited. TCS will also invest roughly ₹9,000 crore itself to establish HyperVault, creating an ₹18,000 crore AI data centre initiative. The project plans include development of up to 1.2 GW of capacity — stated to be equivalent to the combined capacity of all existing data centres in India — positioning TCS to expand its role in the global AI infrastructure landscape.
