BakerHostetler Helps MUST Ministries Consolidate Services onto a Single Campus

"BakerHostetler provided roughly 600 pro bono hours over nearly a decade to assist MUST Ministries in consolidating multiple facilities into a single service campus. The work culminated in October 2025 with the opening of a community health clinic; the campus also includes a donation center, homeless shelter, community kitchen and administrative offices."

BakerHostetler represented MUST Ministries in a pro bono matter, assisting the nonprofit in consolidating its programs and facilities onto a single campus. The firm donated approximately 600 pro bono hours over nearly ten years to help MUST Ministries — Ministries United in Service and Training — acquire land and complete a series of complex real estate transactions. At the outset in 2016 the ministry had neither land nor funds to purchase it; BakerHostetler guided the organization through the transactional and development steps necessary to realize its long-term vision. The work culminated in October 2025 with a grand opening for the final component, a community health clinic, making the site a one-stop campus for individuals in need. In addition to the clinic, the consolidated campus now houses a donation center, a homeless shelter, a community kitchen, administrative offices and related facilities to deliver integrated services. BakerHostetler represented MUST Ministries with a team composed by: Partners Joann Gallagher Jones and Stephen M. Floyd; Counsel Charleston R. Morford and Kimberly S. Ruark; and Associates Marisa P. Ahlzadeh, Austin C. Cohen, Jarvarus A. Gresham, Macy M. Hawkins, M. Adam Kaye Jr., Nolan T. McKeever, Miranda L. Owens and Scott P. Robertson.
