Mills & Reeve advises Previsico on Series A funding to accelerate flood forecasting

Mills & Reeve advised Previsico on its successful Series A funding round, representing the company as it secured investment from Connecticut Innovations, BlueOrchard Finance Limited and drew on earlier support led by Burnt Island Ventures with continued backing from Foresight Capital. The Series A investment will enable Previsico, a provider of real-time flood forecasting technology, to accelerate its mission to help insurers, businesses and communities mitigate the growing global challenge of flood risk. The round includes new capital from Connecticut Innovations, Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm, and BlueOrchard Finance Limited, a global impact investment manager and member of the Schroders Group, and builds on earlier investment led by Burnt Island Ventures with continued support from Foresight Capital. Mills & Reeve also advised on the earlier investment round. Mills & Reeve represented Previsico with a team composed by: Zickie Lim, partner, who led the firm's advice on the transaction, drawing on the firm’s venture capital and climate tech expertise to support the fundraising process. Craig Deacon, Chief Financial Officer of Previsico, said the successful Series A affirms the company’s vision and overarching mission to minimise the effects of flooding globally by enabling people and organisations to prepare for and act to reduce its impacts.
