Global law firm Hogan Lovells advised the joint lead managers BNP Paribas, Bank of America and Citibank on Hive 2025-1, the inaugural public securitisation for Beequip announced in Amsterdam and London on 21 November 2025. Hive 2025-1 is a €500 million public securitisation backed by lease receivables across diverse asset classes, including transport, construction and maritime equipment. The transaction comprised €377.5 million of senior notes rated AAA by S&P, DBRS and Fitch, underscoring market confidence and alignment with EU securitisation standards. The deal represents a landmark in the Dutch asset-backed securities market as the first public securitisation to include specialised heavy equipment lease receivables. By doing so, it expands access to funding for SME equipment finance and sets a precedent for future innovation in the sector. This transaction follows the award-winning private securitisation Project Spyder, which was named Private Securitization Deal of the Year at the GlobalCapital European Securitization Awards 2025. Hogan Lovells acted as counsel to BNP Paribas, Bank of America and Citibank as senior lenders on that private asset-based structured financing transaction. Hogan Lovells advised the joint lead managers (BNP Paribas, Bank of America and Citibank) with a team composed by: partners Robert Masman (Amsterdam) and Julian Craughan (London); counsel Dylan Goedegebuure (Amsterdam); partners Alexander Fortuin (Amsterdam) and Emil Arca (New York); counsel Stephen Bate (London); senior associate Lauren Kimmel (New York); and the Finance and Tax teams in Amsterdam, London and New York.
