Gianni & Origoni assisted Energy Infrastructure Partners, a leading infrastructure investor focused on decarbonisation, digitalisation and security megatrends, in the sale of the largest portfolio of operational photovoltaic plants in Slovakia to Enery, an independent renewable energy producer active in Central and Eastern Europe. The transaction, carried out jointly with ContourGlobal — EIP’s industrial partner controlled by KKR — comprised a portfolio of 32 photovoltaic plants located across Slovakia with a total installed capacity of approximately 34.6 MW. The deal was structured as a cross-border transaction. Gianni & Origoni represented Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) with a team composed by: Ottaviano Sanseverino (partner, head of the Energy and Infrastructure Department) and Giacomo Marzolini (senior associate, M&A Department). Eversheds Sutherland represented ContourGlobal in Austria and Slovakia. Schönherr and Kinstellar acted for the other parties involved in the transaction.
