Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Hyderabad Institute of Oncology Private Limited (operator of the Omega Hospitals oncology network) on its acquisition of a majority stake in Cytecare Hospitals Private Limited. The transaction provides for Hyderabad Institute of Oncology Private Limited to acquire a controlling interest in Cytecare Hospitals Private Limited, a Bengaluru-based cancer care provider. The agreement contemplates a complete exit by Cytecare’s founders and principal shareholders: Broad Street Investments Holding (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (Goldman Sachs), Gi Global Health Fund LP and Alrox Enterprises Private Limited. The acquisition marks Omega Hospitals’ entry into the Bengaluru oncology market and forms part of its broader national expansion strategy to strengthen its presence across India.
