Norton Rose Fulbright advised Ancient on its strategic investment in Burgess. The transaction involved a strategic investment by Ancient, a long-term investor focused on unique and enduring businesses across specialty finance and specialised services, in Burgess, a superyacht brokerage and management firm. Burgess was founded in 1975 by Nigel Burgess and has been led since 1992 by CEO Jonathan Beckett. The company operates globally from 18 offices in key yachting hubs, including London, Monaco, New York and Miami, as well as locations in Asia and the Middle East. The deal required cross-border collaboration across multiple disciplines to address taxation, incentives, financial services, banking, employment and corporate matters.
