Linklaters Advises Helexia on €27m Financing for 24 Solar Rooftop Portfolio in Poland

Linklaters and Addleshaw Goddard Warsaw advised Helexia on the financing of a portfolio of 24 self‑consumption solar rooftop installations in Poland. The transaction concerns the limited‑recourse financing of 24 solar rooftop systems installed across Auchan Retail Poland stores under a partnership between Helexia and Auchan Retail launched in 2024. The financing facilities for the project were arranged for Helexia by Crédit Agricole Transitions & Energies (CA TE), with the support of its affiliates Crédit Agricole Bank Polska S.A. and LCL. With a total investment of €27 million, the portfolio will deliver a combined installed capacity of 26 megawatts and is expected to generate an estimated 24.6 gigawatt hours of clean electricity annually. The electricity produced will cover the energy requirements of the participating stores and support Auchan Retail Poland’s decarbonisation ambitions. Linklaters previously advised Helexia earlier this year on the financing of a separate portfolio comprising 240 projects across five European countries.
