Pekin & Pekin Advises Underwriters on Republic of Turkiye’s USD 2.25 Billion 6.800% Notes Due 2036

"Pekin & Pekin, together with Clifford Chance, advised the underwriters on the Republic of Turkiye’s USD 2.25bn 6.800% notes due 4 November 2036, while Arnold & Porter advised Turkiye. The Rule 144A/Reg S offering was led by J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, SMBC and Societe Generale; proceeds will support Turkiye’s general funding under its external financing programme."

Pekin & Pekin, together with Clifford Chance, advised the underwriters on the Republic of Turkiye’s issuance of USD 2.25 billion 6.800% notes due 4 November 2036, while Arnold & Porter advised the Republic of Turkiye. The sovereign offering was completed as a Rule 144A/Reg S transaction to international investors. The notes carry a 6.800% coupon and mature on 4 November 2036. J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley & Co., SMBC Bank and Societe Generale acted as joint lead managers and bookrunners for the transaction. Proceeds from the issuance will support Turkiye’s general funding needs as part of its ongoing external financing programme.
