Winston & Strawn advised Milexia in connection with Milexia’s acquisition of UR Group through the purchase of UR Italia S.R.L. and its European subsidiaries. The transaction involved the purchase by Milexia, a European leader in the sale of high-technology components, systems and scientific instruments with branches and warehouses in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Nordic countries, of UR Group via the acquisition of UR Italia S.R.L. and its European subsidiaries. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Milan, UR Group is an international supplier of advanced connectivity solutions for IP networks and for wireless, satellite and fiber optic applications. The group specialises in markets including intelligent transport systems (ITS), defence, industrial automation and energy, and has developed a reputation for innovative, high-value services and quality customer support. The strategic acquisition reinforces Milexia’s presence across Europe and broadens its offering by adding a growing European team with the expertise to collaborate with major international companies across Europe and the United Kingdom.
