Pollen Street Capital announces acquisition of Hipoges from KKR

"Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advised Pollen Street Capital on its announced acquisition of Hipoges from KKR. The deal will combine Hipoges and Finsolutia into a platform with c.2,000 professionals and about €55 billion in assets under management across Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece; transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals."

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advised Pollen Street Capital on the announced acquisition of Hipoges from KKR. Pollen Street Capital has announced the acquisition of Hipoges, a real estate and asset management platform active in southern Europe, from KKR. The transaction contemplates integration with Finsolutia, an independent credit and real estate management services technology platform. The combined group will bring together more than 2,000 professionals and approximately €55 billion in assets under management, with teams in four countries and 11 cities covering Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. Hipoges, founded in 2008, is an asset management platform with over €50 billion in assets under management. Its founders and co-managing partners are Hugo Vélez and Claudio Panunzio. With a team of more than 1,800 people in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy, Hipoges supports leading financial institutions and international investors, offering comprehensive solutions across the investment cycle and managing a broad portfolio of credit and real estate assets. Finsolutia, founded in 2007 by Nuno Silva, has developed an integrated range of technology services across the credit and real estate value chain. The company currently employs around 360 professionals and works with numerous institutional investors in the sector. The transaction has not yet been completed and remains subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
