Zadal Advises Fudlicious on Carl’s Jr. Expansion in Barcelona

Zadal acted as legal adviser to Mexican firm Fudlicious in the agreement with Spanish group Avanza Food, the master franchisee of Carl’s Jr. in Spain. Under the multi‑franchise agreement, Fudlicious will open ten new Carl’s Jr. restaurants in Barcelona over the next five years. With this arrangement Fudlicious continues its international expansion process. For its part, Avanza Food, a group owned by the Abac Solutions fund, reinforces its growth plan for Carl’s Jr. in Spain, where the chain has operated 45 restaurants since its arrival in 2017. Zadal provided commercial and tax advice in connection with the transaction. Zadal represented Fudlicious with a team composed by: M&A partner Victoria Vilar, and associates Oihane Casado and Nicolás Rodríguez.
