DLA Piper and Gianni & Origoni in €100 million financing for Odeon redevelopment in Milan

DLA Piper and Gianni & Origoni advised, respectively, Kryalos SGR S.p.A., in its capacity as manager of the Aedison real estate investment fund, and Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. in connection with a financing of approximately €100 million. The financing supports the redevelopment of the historic Odeon building located between Via Santa Radegonda and Via Agnello, a short distance from Milan Cathedral. The property, built in the early twentieth century and long home to the famous Cinema Odeon, will undergo restoration and architectural enhancement to preserve its historic fabric while converting it into a modern, multifunctional complex in the city centre. On completion, the project will accommodate a fully renovated The Space cinema and the new Rinascente Odeon Beauty Hall on the upper floors, with high-end offices on the top level. The redevelopment incorporates targeted measures to improve energy efficiency and sustainability in line with the ESG criteria associated with the green financing. DLA Piper represented Kryalos SGR S.p.A., in its capacity as manager of the Aedison real estate investment fund, with a team composed by: Ivano Antonio Sproviero, Francesca Muci and Giulia Gambarini, under the supervision of partner Giuseppe Mele. Gianni & Origoni represented Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A., which acted as arranger, bookrunner, underwriter, original lender, facility agent and green loan coordinator, with a team composed by: partner Ilaria Laureti, and associates Giovanni Bica and Riccardo Bellini.
