The transaction consisted of a private placement of Class A common stock in Ripple Labs as part of a $500 million strategic investment at a $40 billion valuation. The financing was led by funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group and included participation from affiliates of Citadel Securities, Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard and Marshall Wace.
