Bredin Prat advised UGC and certain of its historical shareholders in connection with Groupe Canal+'s acquisition of a 34% minority stake in UGC. The transaction involves Groupe Canal+ entering UGC's share capital through a 34% minority investment. UGC, a leading French group in cinema and audiovisual production, will welcome Groupe Canal+ as a significant minority shareholder under this arrangement. This entry into the capital may be followed in 2028 by a takeover of UGC, pursuant to agreements that could enable Groupe Canal+ to acquire the remaining shareholdings held by those historical shareholders.
