Orrick advises banks on Neoen's €200 million pan‑European warehouse financing platform

Orrick advised a consortium of commercial and cover banks — the Financial Parties comprising BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Fortis SA/NV, HSBC Continental Europe and ING Bank N.V. — in connection with Neoen's €200 million pan‑European warehouse financing platform established through Neoen Préfinancement Europe, FinCo, a company wholly owned by Neoen SAS. The transaction establishes an innovative, flexible and scalable financing platform to pre‑finance a diversified portfolio of renewable energy development assets, including solar, onshore wind and battery storage, in six European countries: France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Sweden. The platform is designed to accommodate additional assets, jurisdictions and financings as Neoen's European pipeline grows. The financing package comprises a €200 million revolving credit facility and an additional unconfirmed/uncommitted facility intended to support future growth. The operation represents a significant step in Neoen's European expansion strategy. Neoen is a portfolio company held by Brookfield and is an independent producer of exclusively renewable energy.
