Al Tamimi & Company and DLA Piper advised the International Finance Corporation and the Iraqi Government in the tender process for the public–private partnership to redevelop, expand, finance, operate and maintain Baghdad International Airport. The transaction concerns a public–private partnership project for the redevelopment, expansion, financing, operation and maintenance of Baghdad International Airport, involving a total investment of approximately $764 million. On 5 November 2025 the tender was awarded to a consortium that includes Corporación América Airports (CAAP) and the local infrastructure company Amwaj International. Al Tamimi & Company represented the International Finance Corporation and the Iraqi Government with a team composed by: Khaled Saqqaf (team lead), Thomas Calvert and Aro Omar.
