BIP Law and Tax advised GridShare on its entry into the shareholding of Ecofund. Ecofund is an innovative start‑up active, among other activities, in the investment, management and development of assets in the renewable and/or clean energy sector. Its scope of activity includes the construction, acquisition, financing and management of photovoltaic plants, energy storage systems, hydrogen production facilities (including those powered by renewables) and other infrastructures connected to renewable and/or clean energy sources. As a result of the transaction, Ecofund was able to initiate multiple equity crowdfunding campaigns via the CrowdFundMe platform to finance several photovoltaic plants in recent months, most recently the Donnalucata agrivoltaic solar park with a nominal capacity of 3.3 MW.
