Freshfields Advises CNGR Advanced Material on US$456 Million H-Share Listing on Hong Kong Stock Exchange

Freshfields advised CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd. on the Hong Kong and US law aspects of its US$456 million H-share listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The transaction comprised the offering and listing of US$456 million H shares by CNGR on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This is the 12th Hong Kong listing completed this year by Freshfields' Asia Equity Capital Markets team. CNGR is a new energy materials company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, principally engaged in the research and development, production and sales of new energy battery materials and new energy metal products. The company is the global leader in nickel- and cobalt-based cathode active material precursors for lithium-ion batteries, ranking first by shipment volume for five consecutive years since 2020. Its new energy battery materials are used in electric vehicles, energy storage systems and consumer electronics, and they serve higher-power applications with strong commercial potential, including AI-enabled consumer devices, humanoid robotics and low-altitude aerial vehicles.
