CMS Advises Gilde Healthcare on Acquisition of MEG Group from Harald Quandt Industriebeteiligungen

CMS in Germany and CMS in the Netherlands advised private equity investor Gilde Healthcare on its acquisition of MEG Medical Equipment GmbH (MEG) from Harald Quandt Industriebeteiligungen (HQIB). The transaction involved the purchase by Gilde Healthcare of the MEG Group, strengthening Gilde Healthcare’s position among leading private equity investors in the healthcare sector. The acquisition positions MEG to continue its growth trajectory under Gilde’s ownership. MEG is an international provider of medical aids and is recognised as a leading company in specialised medical aids for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. MEG’s subsidiaries include Funke Medical in Germany and Deron B.V. in the Netherlands, whose complementary product portfolio comprises high-quality mattresses, beds and technology-based care products. With Gilde Healthcare’s entry as investor, MEG is expected to pursue further organic expansion and additional international acquisitions.
