FGvW Advises Zürcher Group on Strategic Acquisition of BM Bahndienste and BM Bahnberufe

FGvW and Götz.Grimm.Denk Wirtschaftsprüfer.Steuerberater GmbH & Co. KG advised the Zürcher Group on the acquisition, while Dr. Makrutzki Dr. Mauch Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB and Reiner Lothspeich Steuerberatungsgesellschaft mbH advised the shareholders and sellers of BM Bahndienste GmbH. The transaction comprised the acquisition by the Zürcher Group of all shares in BM Bahndienste GmbH and its subsidiary BM Bahnberufe GmbH. BM Bahndienste is a specialist in rail-based logistics, including track construction logistics, personnel services, traction and transport, and provides rail logistics and transport operations independently or on behalf of third parties. The sellers placed particular importance on securing a medium-sized, regional shareholder to ensure ongoing benefits for existing customers and employees, and found such a partner in the Zürcher Group. The Zürcher Group, based in Meißenheim and active for nearly 70 years with approximately 200 employees at six locations, operates in track construction, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, recycling and logistics. The acquisition is a strategic step to strengthen the Group’s capabilities in track construction, civil and underground engineering and to expand its rail-based logistics services, supporting timely, high-quality execution of customer orders and offering positive regional and supraregional effects.
