DMD Advocates advised Aavishkaar Capital on its partnership with Jamwant Ventures to launch a ₹500 crore defense technology fund. The partnership has launched Jamwant Ventures Fund 2, a ₹500 crore vehicle that will focus exclusively on deep technology with defense use cases. The fund will target investments in new materials, autonomous systems such as drones and underwater robotics, cybersecurity, sensors and communication technologies. The alliance combines Jamwant Ventures’ domain expertise—its founders are retired naval officers with deep operational experience—with Aavishkaar Capital’s institutional investment capabilities, creating a platform dedicated to scaling indigenous defense technologies and fostering innovation and self-reliance in India’s defense sector.
