Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP represented StepStone Private Equity Strategies Fund in connection with its formation and continuous public offering; StepStone Group Private Wealth LLC, a subsidiary of StepStone Group LP (Nasdaq: STEP), serves as the Fund’s investment adviser. The transaction involved the launch and ongoing public offering of an evergreen interval fund registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940. The Fund, which launched in September, has raised more than $750 million to date and is now available on all major custodian platforms for purchase by a ticker. The Fund provides individual investors, financial advisors and institutions with exposure to a diversified portfolio of private market investments across buyout and growth equity, principally through secondary purchases and co-investments. Its objective is to achieve long-term capital appreciation.
