Ropes & Gray advised Comet Software in connection with the establishment of a €40 million acquisition facility provided by Ares Management. The financing facility was put in place to enable Comet Software to accelerate its European expansion. The line is intended to support the group’s ongoing consolidation strategy and future acquisitions. Over the past eighteen months Comet Software has completed nine acquisitions and has established itself as a major consolidator in the business software market. The group now generates in excess of €30 million in annual revenue and employs nearly 250 people.
